Multiple dashboards in a workbook

Dashboards tell a story, and the same data needs to tell different stories.
For example, we have a lot of sales data and the type of graphs and charts for Individuals is different to the high level Senior Management but they are all driven off the same underlying data.
It's also different if I want to show statistics for daily, weekly, monthly. Or send summaries for some items on different schedules. Or some charts to email and others to Slack.
The workaround (kind of) is to create multiple workbooks connected to the same datasource. That solves part of the problem so I don't need to recreate the data transformations which are done in datasource sheets. However I do have to recreate all of the calculations, graphs, and charts which are done in the spreadsheets. It's a nightmare to maintain and make updates in different workbooks.
